These units can be equipped with a cycle-saving operation dampers system that uses outdoor air instead of return air whenever outdoor conditions are favorable, reducing energy consumption.
The main application of this type of system is in horizontal buildings, with the installation of equipment on the roof, its application in hypermarkets has been highlighted.
Temperature control is performed through an on-off thermostat that controls the operation of the compressors. This thermostat usually controls the average temperature of the zone serviced by the conditioner.
