Operation and maintenance of cooling towers

Operating costs depend greatly on the operating regime, environmental conditions, and region where the tower is installed. Basically, these costs are related to the power consumptions of fans and cooling water pumps (the latter usually of high power due to the volumes to be circulated which are defined by the amount of heat to be dissipated and temperature differential in the tower) , consumption and costs of raw water and the treatment required for its use.
