Rigid glass foam

Obtained by the hot expansion of the chemically pure glass to about 15 times its volume.
Material consisting of watertight cells, having the following characteristics:
exceptional resistance to compression loads (7.5 kgf / cm2);
absolute impermeability to water and steam (there is no need for
of vapor barrier); stable in its dimensions in the temperature range of -246 ° C to 430 ° C; absolutely incombustible.
It can be used in the form of "bricks" for the construction of walls and ceilings, constituting, at the same time, the supporting wall, the thermal insulation and the protective layer, requiring only a thin bituminous layer to join the blocks.
It can be used as a thermal insulation between the foundation and the embankment or
channels for the insulation of hot or cold pipes.
Common acids (except hydrofluoric acid), as well as a large number of liquids and
their vapors, present zero action on the material.
The cells contain a small amount of hydrogen sulphide gas, and glass foam insulation should not be subject to friction or shock to avoid smelling.
