In these systems the evaporators are constructed so that electrical resistances can be inserted between the finned surface, or inside tubes, which will be driven during the defrost cycle. This de-icing system is easy to build and operate.
It results in rapid de-icing cycles and can be used for low temperatures. However, both the initial and operational costs can be high.
