Gear Pump

The gear pump is most often used in non-large flows and where there may be sensitive pressure variations.
Two types of construction are used:
• external gears;
• internal gears;
• it must always be provided with an internal or external pressure control valve, normally with return to suction and between the pump and the first blocking valve that exists. Being a positive displacement pump, its pressure increases indefinitely by discharge restriction.
• The assembly follows basic rules for centrifugal pumps with even greater care when cleaning the plant.
