Inside the expansion and suction tubes the refrigerant is at low temperature and, if the tubes are not insulated, the moisture contained in the air will condense on it causing dripping. Therefore, the tubes must be thermally insulated, following the following recommendations:
- Use thermal insulation in the form of a tube, with internal diameter referring to the tube used;
- Ensure that the pipes are buffered when assembling the thermal insulation, to prevent internal residues of insulation from entering the pipe;
- The tubes must be insulated separately;
- Join the insulated tubes and make a finish with tape. In addition to the insulated pipes, the interconnection cable and the drainage hose can also be passed, all together with a good finish and promoting greater protection against atmospheric aggression (sun, rain, solid waste);
- In the installations where the interconnection is done externally to the wall, it is recommended to use gutters;
