Inside all electrical appliances there are electrons that want to "escape" from inside the conductors. As the human body is capable of conducting electricity, if a person lean on such equipment, it will be subject to a shock, which nothing more and
unpleasant sensation caused by the passage of electrons through the body.
And remember that electric currents of only 0.05 ampere can already cause serious damage to the body!
The basic concept of shock protection is that electrons must be "diverted" from the person. Knowing that a conductor of copper and a million times better conductor than the human body, it is evident that if we offer the electrons two paths for them to circulate, one being the body and the other a
driver, the vast majority of them will circulate through the latter, minimizing the effects of shock on the person.
This conductor through which the electrons that "escape" from the apparatus will circulate and called the earth conductor. As the function of the earth conductor and "collecting" "fugitive" electrons, having nothing to do with the proper functioning of the apparatus, people often forget their importance for safety.
Therefore it is very important to install the ground conductor in any residential, commercial and industrial electrical installations.
