Superheated Steam

When the steam is at a temperature higher than the saturation temperature, it is called Superheated Steam. The pressure and temperature of the superheated steam are independent properties, as the temperature can be increased by maintaining a constant pressure. In fact, the substances we call gases are highly overheated vapors.
