Use material that is sufficiently resistant to the temperature of the pipe to be insulated.
Example: Heat insulating polyethylene foam (insulation for temperature of 120 ° C or more)
All insulation work for welded, flanged joints, etc. must be performed after passing the leak test. The gas and liquid tubes must be isolated separately in the Multi-Modular system.
CAUTION:
(1) Use the supplied insulation material to insulate the pipe connection from the indoor unit (union and flange nut).
(2) When insulating branch joints, align the material that was supplied with the branch kit with the tube in place and wrap with the tape.
At the point where the insulation provided with the derivation kit meets the insulation used on the site, join the ends together so that there is no gap and install the insulation as instructed by the manufacturer, and secure the insulation with tape in place.
(3) If there is any possibility that the heat will accumulate (examples: on a slate roof, or on a ceiling whose air is external), the refrigerant tubes should be insulated with 8 to 10mm, wrapped with fiberglass ( 16 to 20kg / m3) and at least 10mm thick.
