Choice of location for installation
Check that the unit is installed in a location where flammable gas cannot leak.
If the gas leaks and accumulates in the vicinity of the unit, a fire may occur.
Check that the outdoor unit is attached to its base.
Otherwise, accidents such as falls may occur.
• Avoid locations where there are machines generating high frequency.
• Place the air conditioner in a specific location where there is a possibility of splashing oil (including machine oil) or steam, places close to the sea or hot water springs, where sulfuric gas can cause problems. If this occurs, special maintenance is required. For details, refer to the manufacturer's manual.
• Avoid obstruction of the suction and discharge port of the external unit so that there are no obstructions in the air flow.
• Avoid installing the air conditioner in a location where strong winds occur towards the suction and discharge ports of the outdoor unit.
• Drain the water from the outdoor unit to a location that has good drainage.
• Check that the air filter is installed in the indoor unit. Otherwise, there may be an obstruction in the heat exchanger, etc. of the air conditioner because of dust and cause water leakage.
• Place the TV or radio 1m or more away from the main air conditioning unit or remote control. Image or sound quality may be affected.
Attention to operating noise
• Select a location with resistance, where operating noise or vibration is not transmitted to other locations or does not increase.
• If there is an obstacle near the discharge port of the outdoor unit, the operation sound may increase.
• Choose a position where neighbors are not affected by the exhaust air from the discharge port of the outdoor unit or the noise of the operation
Electrical wiring
Check that the grounding is performed correctly.
Grounding is necessary. If the grounding is incomplete, it may cause electric shock.
Check that the circuit breaker is installed.
It is necessary to install a circuit breaker. Otherwise, electric shock may occur.
Only use fuses with the correct rating.
The use of copper wires can cause fires or problems.
For the power source, use a circuit with a nominal voltage exclusively for the air conditioner.
