These magnets hold around them a field of magnetic attraction delimited by lines of force. This field of attraction is called the "Magnetic Field".
Magnetic field is the space between two magnetic poles, where the magnetic force lines act. These lines of force are invisible, but can be observed through experiments performed with iron filings.
By convention, they depart from the north pole, out of the magnet, and penetrate the south pole.
