Delayed Action Fuses

In this type of fuse, the bonding of the link must not occur when short-term overloading occurs, so it will only melt when subjected to long-term overload or short-circuit currents.
These fuses are designed to protect inductive or capacitive loads (motors, transformers, capacitors, inductors in general) because these types of loads generate considerable current and voltage variations in the circuits to which they are connected.
