The reversing valve has the function of changing the flow of the refrigerant and thereby the function of the heat exchangers, causing the system to yield heat to the internal environment and withdraw heat from the external environment.
The reversing valve has two positions: operating system for cooling (FR) and operating system for heating (CR). A solenoid coil is responsible for this cycle reversal, and in refrigeration the coil is de-energized and energized for heating.
