A three-phase compressor has 3 windings and the magnetic field formed should promote rotation in and a correct direction of rotation. If the compressor is turned on with the inverted rotation, there are some symptoms:
- High noise;
- Operation of the thermal protector, since the cooling of the electric motor will cease to occur, normally after 15 minutes of operation with inverted rotation;
- Equalization of pressures. The suction pressure (low) is high and the pressure
discharge (high) does not rise;
- Low current because there is no work;
Checking the direction of rotation can be done with the use of a phasimeter, and to correct the problem simply change two phases of position with each other.
