(1) Connect the hose from the refrigerant cylinder to the manifold, open the VH valve on the cylinder, remove the air and then tighten the hose.
(2) According to the diagram below, turn the refrigerant cylinder down, open the VH valve on the manifold, and fill liquid refrigerant into the liquid side tube. (Note that with some types of refrigerant cylinders, the liquid refrigerant will be poured out through the siphon with the cylinder in its normal position). If the load quantity cannot be reached, close the VH valve, turn the refrigerant cylinder upwards, open the liquid side and the balance regulating valves fully, and open the regulating valve on the gas side only halfway. Start the refrigeration operation, open the VL 'valve and then fill the gas side pipe with refrigerant in a gaseous state.
(3) While watching the balance, and when the system is completely filled with additional refrigerant, quickly close the VL valve. Then close the Va valve on the cylinder and fully open the regulating valve on the gas side.
(4) Record the amount of additional refrigerant that has been added to the system on the nameplate of the outdoor unit.
