What is sprinkler humidification?

Sprinkler humidification is the process of adding moisture to the air, passing it through water jets (scrubbers). The sensible heat of the air turns into latent heat, which is used to evaporate some of the water. Although the temperature of the dry air bulb decreases, there is no change in the total heat of the air (only the latent heat and sensible heat proportions change).
