What happens to the conditions of the refrigerant in and out of the evaporator when the expansion device has an opening larger than that required for the charge imposed on the evaporator?

 Inside the evaporator there is a flood of refrigerant and at the outlet, the compressor pumps wet steam thus compromising the installation of the refrigeration system.
