Styrofoam

is a tiny styrene polymer resulting from pearls, which undergo expansion of water vapor by up to 50 times its original size, melting and molding into a material of excellent insulation power, both heat and mainly cold, due to the large amount of closed cells and full of air inside.

Styrofoam is recommended for the following applications:

• Thermal insulation of roofs.
• Coffin lost in thick slabs for load relief.
• Expansion joints and lightweight concrete.
• Thermal insulation of cold rooms, air conditioning ducts or pipes and equipment operating at low temperatures.
Features and Benefits
• Low volumetric weight due to the large amount of air in 1 m3 of material (approximately 98%);
• Excellent thermal performances, provided by its low K-factor, reducing energy costs, as well as providing better process temperature control;
• Fire resistance: Styrofoam can be supplied with flame retardant, providing safety to the applicator and the company;
• Simple installation: Styrofoam can be cut easily, increasing its installation speed;
• Mechanical properties: Low moisture absorption, mechanical resistance to short- and medium-term stress make Styrofoam an excellent quality material for all types of thermal insulation and
• It has the lowest cost benefit among insulation materials. Styrofoam does not mock, does not contain CFCs, and is rapidly deteriorated by the photochemical action generated by the sun's rays.
Application
The most important physical property of Styrofoam plates and gutters is their excellent insulating power both in cold and heat. Thanks to its excellent resistance, its high insulation power, lightness and durability the styrofoam is perfect in thermal insulation.
, Thermal insulation of:

• Cold rooms;
• Air conditioning ducts;
• Equipment and pipelines operating at low temperatures;
• Slabs for technical comfort and protection.
