It has several access covers, which can be of two types:
Common, With Vertical Aperture. It is made of steel sheet, painted and equipped with magnetic gasket for sealing: it can have springs on the hinges to keep it open.
Slide. It is made of special transparent, non-fogging glass that slides on a rail. The glass, besides making the fence, allows the visualization of the exposed products.
In the horizontal freezer, the accumulation of ice in the evaporator is less frequent than in the vertical freezer. The reason for this is that the cold air in the internal compartment does not "renew." When the lid is opened, the cold, dry air remains inside the inner compartment because it is denser than the warm air.
Instead, in the vertical freezer, every time the door is opened, the cool, dry, dense air exits and the warm, less dense, moist air enters the compartment forming a layer of ice. This makes the need for defrost in the horizontal freezer less frequent than in the vertical freezer. Consequently, the horizontal freezer saves more electric power than the vertical freezer.
