Electromagnetic Induction Heating

The transformer secondary consists of a metal container (which may contain a liquid or a solid) in the form of a short circuit. By applying a voltage U1 to the primary of the transformer, a high current is induced in the secondary which will release into the metal container a high amount of heat, which allows this process to be used in the industry to melt metals.
