Electrical resistance heating

According to the law of Joule, whenever a resistor R is traversed by an electric current I, it releases heat energy which is given by W = R I2 t (*)
This process of producing heat is used in irons, toasters, radiators, electric ovens, water heating, etc.
(*) W in Joule, R in Ohm, I in Ampere, and time t in seconds.
Note: 1 calorie = 4.18 Joule
