The thermal protector consists of a bakelite encasement, containing in its interior a resistor connected in series with a bimetallic disc.
The circulation of a high current, as well as the heating of the motor which is
transmitted to the compressor housing, promote the opening of the contacts
turning off the compressor.
This component has the function of protecting the compressor against:
Overload;
Low tension;
Short circuit;
Low profit.
