Improper refrigerant charge in the refrigeration system

- Insufficient load:
would lead to low evaporation temperatures with partial use of
evaporator and lower refrigeration capacity, since the return of the gas will be
less than the pumping capacity of the compressor.

- Excessive load:
It will result in high condensation pressure, compressor overload,
higher evaporation pressure and risk of liquid return to the compressor.
In compressors with no starting capacitor, there may be difficulty in
the thermal protector.
