New Tools for the Split Air Conditioner with R-410A Refrigerant

Gauge manifold: As the pressure is high, it is impossible to measure with the conventional meter. To prevent any other

refrigerant is loaded, the diameter of each port has been modified.

Loading Hose: To increase pressure resistance, the hose materials and port size have been modified

(for 1/2 UNF, 20 threads per inch). When purchasing a charging hose, confirm the port size.

Electronic scale for refrigerant charge: As the pressure is high and gasification is rapid, it is difficult to read the value indicated through the charge cylinder as air bubbles occur.

Torque wrench (nominal diameter 1/2, 5/8): The size of the opposite sides of the flange nuts has been increased. Occasionally, a torque wrench with nominal diameters of 1/4 and 3/8 can be used.

Flange making tool (glove type): By increasing the receiving hole of the clamp bar, the resistance of the tool spring has been improved.

Vacuum pump adapter: Connected to the conventional vacuum pump. It is necessary to use an adapter to prevent the oil from the vacuum pump from flowing back into the charging hose. The charging hose connection piece has two ports: one for conventional refrigerant (7/16 UNF 20 threads per inch) and one for R410A. If the oil (mineral) from the vacuum pump mixes with the refrigerant R-410A, it may form sediment that will damage the equipment.

Gas leak detector: Exclusive for HFC refrigerant.

Note:

• Occasionally the “refrigerant cylinder” comes with the refrigerant designation (R410A) and a protective coating according to the pink color specified by the U.S ARI standard (ARI color code: PMS 507).

• Also the “charge port and refrigerant cylinder packaging” require 1/2 UNF 20 threads per inch that correspond to the size of the hose charge port.
