a) General: The fans leave the factory with the motor pulley adjusted with two open turns. To check the rotation of your unit, see the manufacturer's table.
Before performing maintenance services on the fan compartments, observe the following recommendations:
(1st) Turn off the power to the unit;
(2º) Protect the coils by covering them with plywood or other rigid material.
b) Change of fan speed: If it is necessary to modify the speed, proceed as follows:
1- Release the fan belt by loosening the motor base. Do not remove the engine from its base.
2- Loosen the fixing screw of the moving parts of the motor pulley
3- Rotate the moving parts of the pulley towards the fixed part to increase the rotation of the fan; moving away the rotation decreases.
Refer to the Capacity Tables and Air Flow Curve in the Technical Catalog to determine the operating conditions.
As the speed increases, the load on the engine increases. Do not exceed the maximum allowed fan speed or the maximum current indicated on the motor nameplate.
4- Tighten the fixing screw of the moving parts of the motor pulley again, observing that the screw is seated on the flat surface of the pulley hub.
5- Check the alignment of the pulleys and the adjustment of the belt tension as described in the manufacturer's manual and fix the motor.
6 - Check the operation of the fan. Repeat the above necessary procedure.
