1) It is recommended that the brazing of copper pipes be carried out with an inert gas flow (Nitrogen) inside them, avoiding the formation of oxidation residues (scale) or other impurities in the refrigeration circuit.
When brazing the tubing on the evaporator coil, protect the tray from heat, preventing damage to it.
2) The leak test must be done with a maximum pressure of 250 PSIG. Use pressure regulator on the nitrogen cylinder. We recommend disconnecting the low pressure switch to avoid future leakage problems.
3) To evacuate the interconnecting pipes and units, connect the vacuum pump to the pressure taps on the service valves of the liquid and suction lines, so that we have simultaneous evacuation from the high and low pressure sides.
4) It is recommended to partially charge the refrigerant through the liquid line using the pressure tap on the service valve.
5) Add R-22 until the subcooling is between 8 and 11OC. If it is above, remove soda. If it is below add.
(Brazing is a thermal process with the objective of providing the joining or coating of metallic parts and materials by means of a molten addition metal).
