HP High Pressure Pressure Switch Adjustment (Cooling Machine Stop and Return)

1 ° Determine the highest pressure value at which the compressor can operate without causing the housing to overheat, if this value is reached the compressor must stop for High Pressure at discharge;
2 ° Adjust directly to the high pressure switch “CUT OUT” the set value;
Note: This pressure switch has a fixed Differential Pressure value (Fifferential: ± 58 PSIG) and only the Offset Pressure adjustment is required.

The back pressure to the compressor will be given by subtracting the differential pressure from the shutoff pressure.
P. return = P. shutdown - P. differential
Example: A compressor whose maximum discharge pressure should be 325PSIG will have:
BLACK = 325 PSIG - 58 PSIG
BROWN = 267 PSIG

After a high pressure stop, the high pressure switch will only restart the compressor if the discharge pressure on the high side of the system drops to the Return Pressure and the operator presses a “Reset” button located on its top. This reset button can be set to automatic by positioning a bolt lock next to it.
