In the 20th century the first electric refrigerator

At the dawn of the 20th century, another great achievement, electricity, began to spread. Homes began to replace oil and kerosene lamps and gas lamps with electric lamps, Edison's notable invention, and
electricity to run small machines and engines. With this new energy source, technicians looked for ways to produce cold on a small scale, in the users' own homes. The first domestic refrigerator appeared in 1913, but its
acceptance was minimal, considering that it consisted of a manual operation system, requiring constant attention, a lot of effort and presenting low performance.
Only in 1918 did the first automatic refrigerator, powered by electricity, appear and were manufactured by the Kelvinator Company, in the United States. Since 1920, the evolution has been tremendous, with an ever increasing production of mechanical refrigerators.
