Types of expansion valves used in refrigeration systems

 Block Valve - The block expansion valve is located on the evaporator and its function is to monitor the temperature of the refrigerant and allow the correct amount of fluid to enter the evaporator.

  Right Angle Valve - This type of valve is positioned before the evaporator and controls the amount of fluid entering the evaporator. The right angle valve is manufactured in two types: valve with internal equalization and external equalization.

Expansion valves operated by electricity These are expansion valves that have a coil. This coil is controlled by an electronic circuit board. The valve of the above model works as follows, it is fully open or fully closed.

Expansion valves can usually have two types of defect;
1- Can be congested with system wastes
2- Because they have small internal parts, these small parts can suffer corrosion and with that the valves become defective.
