Example of vacuum pump selection capability:
1.5 cfm: domestic systems;
3 to 5 cfm: commercial systems;
10 to 15 cfm: large systems;
In the high vacuum method, a vacuum pump capable of achieving a vacuum of less than 200 Hg (microns) is used in two steps. When we get a reading below 200 Hg, we will have completed the high vacuum procedure.
