Care in the Installation of Split Air Conditioner with Refrigerant R-410A

Refrigerant R410A can be affected by impurities such as water, oxidizing membranes and oils, because its pressure is approximately 1.6 times higher than that of refrigerant R-22. The refrigeration engine oil was also modified to accompany the adoption of the new refrigerant. Therefore, during installation work, make sure that water, previous coolant, or oil from the refrigeration engine does not enter the refrigeration cycle of the air conditioner with new refrigerant.

To avoid mixing refrigerant or refrigerating engine oil, the sizes of parts for connecting the main unit's charge port or the installation tools are different from those used with conventional refrigerant. Thus, exclusive tools are needed for the new refrigerant (R410A).

To connect the tubes, use new and clean materials, with high pressure clamping force, which were made exclusively for the R410A, so that water or dust cannot enter. In addition, do not use the existing piping, as problems may occur due to the clamping force and impurities.
