CALCULATE ENERGY CONSUMPTION

It is the electric energy meter (light clock), which records the electricity consumption of your residence.
This consumption, which covers a specific period, is expressed in kilowatt-hours (kWh). For collection purposes, the utility usually measures the electricity you have spent within thirty (30) days.
To calculate the energy consumption of each appliance, it is only you to multiply the power of the appliance by the number of hours it is used in the month. To do this, apply the following formula:

Consumption (kWh) = Power (W) x hours of use per day x days of use in the month
                                                  1000

Examples:

For a 60 watt bulb, which is on 5 hours a day, during the 30 days of the month:

60 (W) x 5 hours x 30 days Consumption (kWh) = 9 kWh / month
                                             1000

B) For a shower of 4000 watts, which is used half an hour a day for 30 days of the month:

4000 (W) x 0.5 (30 minutes) x 30 days Consumption (kWh) = 60 kWh / month
                                             1000
