Indoor Air Quality in air-conditioned environments

The quality of indoor air is a consequence of several factors that influence it from the design, to the installations, to the operation, maintenance, etc.
Special importance acquires the rates of renovation of outdoor air, as well as the efficiency and the correct maintenance of the filtration system.
Detecting problems that reduce indoor air quality requires a check of all elements of the system. In case of possible deposits of dirt in any pipeline, use one of the existing cleaning methods (contact suction, compressed air associated with suction, compressed air associated with brushing and suction). Previously it was recommended to perform a visual inspection followed by laboratory tests (microbiological examinations) that will determine the real need for this cleaning.
Microbiological analysis may further determine the need to complete disinfection of the system by nebulization of microbicidal agents (fungicides, bactericides, etc.).
