What is Vermiculite?
Vermiculite is a mineral formed by the superposition of very thin coverslips, which undergoes high temperatures (around 1000 ºC), undergoes a great expansion of up to fifteen times of its original volume, constituting in the industrialized product, denominated Vermiculita Expandida, that possesses multiple and interesting uses in various sectors of human activity. The void spaces originated from this volumetric expansion are filled by air, which confer the Expanded Vermiculite certain characteristics such as great lightness, thermal insulation and acoustic absorption.
