Preparation procedure for starting the central air conditioner

 Watch out! Do not start the unit without having previously checked the items described below, a service to be performed by a qualified and trained person.


1. Make sure the unit is isolated from any electrical sources. Open, lock and signal the general power point circuit breaker.

2. Check that all the evaporator modules have been correctly assembled and that the joints between the sections have been sealed with foam (supplied inside the heat exchanger module).

3. Check that the screws and nuts of the rotating elements, such as the fans, motors and pulleys, are correctly tightened.

4. Manually rotate the fan (s) to check that it spins freely. Make sure that no foreign bodies (tools, water, cement) have entered the fan housing.

5. Check the tensioning and alignment of the belts.

6. Check that there are no foreign bodies (packaging, tools, screws, plaster, etc.) in the return duct capable of obstructing the air intake in the filters (when applicable).

7. Close the access panels to prevent any air leakage.

8. Check that the drains are properly connected, unobstructed and operating correctly.

9. Check the tightness of the screws of the connections and electrical components.
