• The engine room must have watertight doors, opening out and in sufficient numbers for people to leave in case of emergency. At a minimum, you should have two doors in opposite positions.
• It must be properly ventilated, ventilation may be natural or forced.
• Ammonia should not be stored inside the engine room, in addition to the system load.
