Control valves in industrial refrigeration

Pressure regulating valves at the outlet of evaporators have very important functions in the system such as maintaining a constant pressure inside the evaporator, avoiding problems of freezing, dragging of excessive liquid, on pressure in the liquid separator, among others. But often the cost of a throttle is much more than its initial value. The loss of load on this type of valve is great even when it is fully open (0.15 - 0.20 bar), which means a loss of load on the considerable suction line.
