The compressor valves are perfectly watertight.
Check the sealing of the valves by means of a vacuum gauge applied to the compressor suction. A rapid increase in the suction pressure at the compressor stop indicates an imperfect sealing of the valves. If this malfunction does not compromise the performance of the compressor, the imperfection can be corrected by applying a check valve on the suction line or the discharge line.
