1 - Measure the condensation pressure in the high pressure service valve of the compressor and determine the condensation temperature using a pressure table or scale x temperature in the scale equivalent to the type of refrigerant used in the refrigeration system.
2 - Measure the temperature of the liquid line before the dryer filter using a reliable thermometer.
3 - Subtract the liquid line temperature from the condensation temperature, this difference is the natural subcooling (condensing temperature - liquid line temperature).
It is desirable to obtain a natural subcooling of the liquid from the condenser varying from 3 to 5K to avoid loss of efficiency of the refrigeration system through the undesirable presence of instantaneous evaporation of the liquid in the liquid line.
