The float valve on the high pressure side contains the same
elements of the low pressure side: the float, the articulated transmission and the needle valve. The difference from the low pressure is in its location on the high pressure side of the system and in the fact that the valve is opened when the liquid level increases.
It is installed below the condenser and transfers the liquid refrigerant to the evaporator as soon as it is condensed, but does not allow the passage of non-condensed vapor. This requires that most of the refrigerant charge in the system is located in the evaporator.
