Most lubricants based on mineral oils are not suitable for the current refrigerants. Therefore, new compounds have been developed to meet these refrigerants.
The oils used today can be divided into two categories:
a) Mineral oils: among the minerals we highlight the three most common types: naphthenic, aromatic and paraffinic;
b) Synthetic oils: Among synthetics, highlight benzenes alkyl, polialcalinos glycols (PAG known by the term), modified polialcalinos glycols, poliódicos esters (known as POE) and polyvinyl ethers (known as PVE).
