The sensors used in our equipment is of the NTC (negative temperature coeficient), or a negative temperature coefficient; The ohmic resistance is inversely proportional to the temperature felt in the bulb.
How to measure:
Disconnect the card sensor;
Identify which the sensor characteristic: NTC 25ºC - 10K ohm;
Checking the temperature sensor bulb;
Using a multimeter in scale 20K, measure the ohmic resistance of the sensor;
Check in the table if the resistance value measured corresponds to the temperature sensor bulb;
Examples of possible results:
Sensor Feature: NTC 25ºC-10K ohm
a) Temp. 25 ° C, Resist. between 9.8 and 10.2 K ohms: OK
b) Temp. 25 ° C, Resist. 13 K ohms: uncalibrated
c) Temp. 25 ° C, Resist. of 174 K ohms: OPEN
d) Temp. 25 ° C, Resist. 1 K ohms: SHORT
Note: When the unit charge sensor failure indicates that it is open or shorted.
