Evacuation and Purge of the split air conditioning system

 1. The outdoor unit already comes with a factory pre-charged refrigerant gas.

The load indicated on the nameplate is the total required by a system up to 7.5m in length of refrigeration lines. Considering that the external unit does not need to be evacuated, except in cases where refrigerant has escaped, it is recommended that the suction and liquid valves remain closed.

2. When installation is complete, vacuum the cooling lines and the indoor unit.

3. Evacuate the system until the vacuometer reads 350 micro.

4. Close the vacuum pump valve, and observe the vacuum gauge. If the reading rises above 500 microns in the interval of one minute, it means that the evacuation is incomplete, or that there is a leak in the system.

5. If the vacuometer does not exceed 500 microns within a minute, it means that the vacuum is finished.

6. With the vacuum pump off and the manifold closed, open the service valves on the liquid and suction lines.

7. Replace caps on valves and valves to prevent leakage. Additional refrigerant charge will be required when the distance between the indoor and outdoor units is greater than 7.5m. Use the manufacturer's chart for the recommended additional loads.
