Checks before the operation of the compressors used in the rack cooling system

• Never start a compressor without first checking if your discharge record is open.
• Never let the compressor operate in a vacuum. It is important to set the low pressure switch.
• Adjust the temperature of the compressor suction piping (overheating). High operating temperatures can lead to deterioration of the lubricating oil and aging of the winding insulation of the motors. Normally in compressors cooled the temperature should be between +10 C and +15 C and in the frozen compressors between -10 C and -5 C.
• Avoid liquid return to the compressors. Blow of liquid can cause mechanical breaks. The formation of ice at the suction inlet of the compressors does not always mean liquid return. Temperature of the order of -5C in frozen systems can form ice.
• When performing thermal protection, high pressure or oil pressure switches, always check the reason for their operation before restarting the compressor.
• Always avoid excessive vibration in the compressors or the coupled pipes, as they may cause leaks.
• Always check the oil level of the lungs and compressor buoys as well as the operation of the pump and the oil pressure switch.
• Always keep the compressor clean. This procedure helps in visualizing possible leaks in it.
• Always check the pressure drop on the suction filters.
• Check the supply voltage. Tensions outside the limits can cause the engines to burn.
