The lubricant is separated from the refrigerant by combining the effects produced by the reduction of speed, centrifugation, change of steam direction of the discharge and oil adsorption at high temperature.
The use of the oil separator is mainly used in the machines that work with the R-22 because it is characteristic of this refrigerating fluid that at temperatures below -20 ° C, presents difficulties of mixing with the lubricating oil that accumulates in the interior of the evaporator, which makes it difficult to return to the compressor.
