The buttonholes are essentially made up of buttons themselves, mobile contacts and fixed contacts. The moving contacts may have a sliding movement for self-maintenance, that is, they remove any oxidation that may appear on the contact surface. These contacts are covered with silver and built for a high number of maneuvers, approximately 10 million operations.
