It has the purpose of distributing the refrigerant in equal proportions through the various sections of the evaporator tubes, thus allowing an immediate yield soon after the start of the compressor.
The manifold is installed at the outlet of the expansion valve. The pipes that are to be welded must be of the same length so that there is no deficiency in the refrigerant supply in the evaporator.
