REFRIGERANT FLUID

It is the fluid that absorbs heat from a substance in the environment to be cooled. There is no refrigerant which meets all the desirable properties, so that a refrigerant considered good to be applied in a particular type of refrigeration plant is not always recommended for use in another. Good soda is the one that brings together as many good qualities as possible for a particular purpose.

The main properties of a good soda are:
Condensing to moderate pressures;
A Evaporate at pressures above atmospheric;
To have small specific volume;
To have high latent heat of vaporization;
A To be chemically stable (does not change despite its repeated state changes in the refrigeration circuit);
Do not be corrosive;
A Not flammable;
A Do not be toxic;
A Must allow easy location of leaks;
A Do not attack the lubricating oil or have any undesirable effect on the other materials of the unit and Do not attack or deteriorate the food in case of leaks.

A Do not attack the ozone layer in case of leaks.
