For the installation of the refrigerant pipe, copper pipes and connections are used. These tubes and connections must be suitable for the refrigerant. In addition, it is necessary to use clean pipes and connections, whose interior surfaces are less affected by contaminants.
Copper Tubes: It is necessary to use seamless tubes, which can be either copper or copper alloy, being desirable that the amount of residual oil is less than 40 mg / 10 m. Do not use copper tubes that have a deformed or discolored part
(especially on the inner surface).
Otherwise, the expansion valve or capillary tube may be blocked by contaminants.
If the conditioner using R-410A reaches a higher pressure than when using R-22, it will be necessary to choose suitable materials.
The thickness of the copper tubes used with the R-410A is specified in the manufacturer's manual. Never use copper tubes less than 0.8mm thick, even if they are available on the market.
