The set of items for connecting the drain must be purchased separately for installation in the field. This line, which should not be less than 3/4 "in diameter, must have, right after the unit leaves, a siphon that guarantees the perfect air sealing and condensate drainage when the unit is in operation. The siphon must be filled with water to prevent air from being sucked in from the drain line The siphon must be dimensioned according to the pressure prescribed for the collection tray (attention in installations with ducted return).
Check that the location is free of dust or other suspended particles that cannot be captured by the unit's air filters and can obstruct the air coils.
Aiming at a perfect drainage of the condensate formed during operation, install the equipment with a slight inclination towards the outlet side of the drain lines (5 to 10mm).
